  • To Promote a tangible vehicle of co-operation among Asian Takaful operator specifically and also Takaful operators from other parts of the world;
  • To provide a conduit for exchange of information on all facets of Takaful operation among Takaful operators;
  • To facilitate Retakaful exchange among Takaful operators;
  • To provide underwriting capacity for Takaful operators;
  • To enable more Takaful contributions generated within Asian to be retained within the region;
  • To develop and promote Takaful business by members of the Company as a viable and vibrant alternative to conventional insurance;
  • To facilitate training for its members by connecting them to the appropriate institutions;
  • To co-ordinate with its members to provide internship programmes for the new Takaful and Retakaful operators;
  • To establish an infrastructure of statistical databases and industry reporting for research and reference;
  • To provide a discussion platform and formulate industry recommendations;
  • To co-operate with the various training institutions to update on training mode needs of Takaful industry;
  • To represen and promote the best interests of its members when dealing with authorities; and
  • To establish a Retakaful exchange.
